Shelter for Women & Children in distress is a non-government, charitable and non-profitable organization. It’s mission is to provide protection, safety and support to victims of domestic violence and other abuses.
Objective:
To provide temporary Shelter free of charge for women and children victims of abuses.
To cater for the well-being and welfare of women in distress and needy children.
To promote education for children. Cases referred: Victims of Physical/Verbal/Emotional abuse, sexual abuse victim, cases of incest, grossly neglected children, abandoned children, teenage pregnancies, teenage mothers accompanied with babies.
The Academy for Integrated and Sustainable Development prepared a project to empower the residents of this Shelter. A one-year programme was designed for 19 selected girls (elder ones) aged from 12 to 17 years.

Venue:
The Project was run at Peace Cottage – A small complex on one acre of agricultural land, where we do Sustainable Yogic Agriculture. It is a garden of fruits, vegetable and flowers.
